This past weekend (Sunday, 10/23) was the last time Homegrown, now a Drive 105 10PM staple, will be rebroadcast at midnight at KQ. That's sad news for people, like me, who listened to both Jason Nagel's 10PM Minnesota Music on Cities 97 and then to the rebroadcast of Homegrown with Mei Young and Dave Campbell at midnight. Effectively, starting Sunday 10/6 that means one less hour of time devoted to local music in this radio market due to the overlap.
And yes indeed, that's pointless and stupid from a radio programing standpoint. It only hurts; no one benefits -- least of all the listener. But fortunately, Radio Homegrown has a Podcast. So you can listen to Jason's show live (on a real radio) and then get your Homegrown Fix later on at http://feeds.feedburner.com/homegrown.
