New group Randy Casey & the DeTractors" start Lee's residency Wednesday, October 5th



Randy Casey
has put together a new group, Randy Casey & the DeTractors, who start a residency at Lee's Liquor Lounge on Wednesdays beginning October 5.

Casey describes the group as "roots twang," and says they strive to redefine country rock. They will play Casey's original material as well as select classics.

Casey also hopes to encourage other area performers to make cameo appearances.

Randy Casey has recorded and toured with Shannon Curfman and shared stages with John Mellencamp, Mellisa Etheridge, Jimmy Vaughn and Meat Loaf. He was nominated for "Best Guitarist" by the Minnesota Music Academy in 2003.

Noah Levy (The Honeydogs, Golden Smog, Mason Jennings, Five for Fighting). One of the best-known drummers in the Twin Cities, Noah has played on hundreds of recordings.

Steve Price (Rex Daisy, 2 Tickets 2 Paradise) has recorded with several labels including Geffen Records. His production credits include music for the film "Dummy" (2003 Artisan Entertainment) and "The Osbournes" (2003 MTV). Steve was nominated in 2004 for “Bass Player of the Year” by the Minnesota Music Academy.

Joe Savage (Hookers 'n' Blow, Trailer Trash, Becky Thompson, Menage a Twang) is a pedal steel guitarist, and also plays harmonica, banjo, lap steel and Dobro guitars.
