Dan Israel now Dad Israel - Israel becomes first time father and plays gig same day

You probably gathered as much from David Rachac's review of his show at the Fitzgerald Theatre on Friday that Dan Israel and his wife Lisa are now the proud parents of a brand spankin' new baby boy.

I once called Dan Israel "the energizer bunny of the Twin Cities music scene," but I'm not exactly sure what to call him after he kept his commitment to open for Iris DeMent little more than 12 hours after his first child, Isaac David Israel was born.
